Raised in the beautiful island state of Hawaii, John Valentine has spent most of his life entertaining in the heart of Waikiki. John began his music career sharing the spotlight with high school friend Pat Miguel. The duo, known as Night Splendor, immediately found itself with a large and faithful following in the Waikiki circuit. At this time they joined the Dick Jensen Show performing their favorite impersonations.

John and Pat went on to join the Lovenotes, an oldies review that was a huge favorite among the locals and tourists alike. With John’s vocal talent and musical direction, the Lovenotes became one of the island’s greatest sensations, taking time away from home to tour the Midwest and Tokyo Japan.

The next step in John’s career took him to the 30th floor of the Sheraton Waikiki and the spectacular Hanohano Room. There he performed with the classic trio, Stardust led by Brian Robertshaw. While moonlighting in another show entitled Aloha Las Vegas @ the Beachcomber.

Recently, John along with Zanuck Lindsey formed Rock Hard HawaiiTM - an exciting band that will give a high energy boost to conventions and other special events. The band features classic rock across the decades including a selection of contemporary music.

Today John is sharing his talent island-wide at a variety of venues including Westin Moana/Surfrider BeachBar, the Kahala Veranda, Hilton Hawaiian, Koolina and Breakers Restaurant & Bar in Haleiwa. See the calendar for a current schedule.

When not performing, John is busy teaching his craft to up and coming stars in Hawaii as a vocal instructor and coach for stage performance.

While entertaining has been his primary bread and butter, John’s true love is working in the recording studio as a producer. The Hawaii Music Award winning Guitars of Hawaii showcases Hawaii’s finest guitar players including the late great Mackie Feary & Danny Otholt.

John along with
Rocky Brown has currently produced a show available for special events directed by Jack Cione. Rocky a former member of the original cast of Miss Saigon is a perfect compliment to John’s dynamic vocal and guitar stylings.

Power of Two  Johnny & Yvette Nii released a CD in 2006 that was honored a Hawaii Music Award nominee. A second CD will follow highlighting some of his original music while sharing the vocal spotlight with some of Hawaii’s favorite performers such as Rocky Brown and Forte’s Kristina Acidera. Don’t miss your chance to get a sampling of Hawaii’s best talent!
